The Ambient-Ledger is an ongoing series of audio dispatches from composing musician Christine Newton Bush who inscribes the sonic wilderness of contemporary culture into vast and sublime soundscapes.

Dispatch 000: Hello? is an ode to the manifold sources of technological alienation, inspired by an incoming phone call to our answering machine.

An unwanted inspiration: the epidemic of gun violence in the United States. In remembrance of the victims, each dispatch concludes with a unique coda featuring a weapon being "un-fired" by reverse processing the sound of its discharge.
